Kiekvienam, pasirašiusiam peticiją už Lenkijos konsulą, nukentėjusį už kovą su BARNEVERNET vaikų atiminėjimo organizacija, atsiunčiama padėka.
The Norwegian childcare system must be reformed
Dear Sir,
I would like to thank you for the support given to Dr. Sławomir Kowalski, the Polish consul, who ran afoul of the Norwegian Child Welfare Service (Barnevernet) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of that country by helping families. Almost 35,000 people signed the petition „Support the Polish Consul“ (in Polish and English) started by the Ordo Iuris Institute and Artur Kubik from Solidaritet Norge. This significant number has had a meaningful impact on the situation in Norway.
Thanks to your solidarity with the Polish consul and to the pressure exerted by thousands of Poles and Norwegians, the Polish authorities refused to remove this competent, caring and hard-working diplomat from the Oslo post especially since he had proven his devotion to serving Polish citizens. This firm attitude provoked panic among the Norwegian authorities, who decided to expel Consul Kowalski, considering him a persona non grata.
So far, we have only seen expulsions of Polish diplomats from the Russian Federation and Belarus. Thanks to our campaign, the Polish government reacted categorically and by way of diplomatic retaliation expelled the Consul of the Kingdom of Norway from Poland.
The Polish diplomats have expressed their gratitude, saying, „Now we finally feel support for our actions in defence of our compatriots abroad!“.
During a demonstration in front of the Norwegian Embassy in Warsaw on February 18th, representatives of Ordo Iuris submitted a letter demanding the necessary procedural changes beneficial for Polish families in that country. It can be downloaded both in Polish and English.
For almost two years, our institute has been involved in providing legal assistance to parents and children who have experienced reprehensible abuses by the Barnevernet. Every day, lawyers at Ordo Iuris discover how much harm is done by the Norwegian Child Welfare Service. We have already helped 21 families (16 Polish and 5 Norwegian) with our legal aid.
One of the most publicized of our interventions was the case of the Norwegian citizen Silje Garmo and her daughter Eira. I was proud to be their attorney during the proceedings, which ended with them being granted asylum in the Republic of Poland. This is the first asylum granted to Norwegian citizens since the Second World War!
In the forthcoming weeks, we will publish a report in English on Barnevernet abuses. By presenting this document to the international community, we want to support the efforts to improve the fate of our compatriots persecuted by such offices as the Barnevernet, Jugendamt and the English CPS.
Legal aid to families threatened by abuses committed by officials is one of the main areas the Ordo Iuris Institute for Legal Culture deals with. Every year, we provide legal aid to hundreds of families in Poland. Thanks to our donors, this help is free of charge. Ordo Iuris’ activities also include legal assistance in the following matters:
– protection of life from conception to natural death,
– schools free of indoctrination,
– defence of the identity and systemic role of marriage,
– protection of Christians and the right to practice religion,
– freedom of speech, economic freedom and contractual freedom,
defence of women’s rights to motherhood and appreciation of the mother’s role in social life.
Once a week, we send our subscribers a short message in which we inform them about our actions. Therefore, I would be grateful if you accepted the opportunity to read our weekly newsletter that we prepare in Polish.
Yours faithfully
P.S. Thank you again for supporting the Polish consul. I strongly believe that the voice of almost 35,000 citizens will contribute to the reform of the defective social welfare system in Norway. I promise that we will do our best to achieve that.
Our work is only made possible through the generosity of our supporters.
